About-IPWSO » Membership
IPWSO Membership provides the following:
Two delegates, one professional and up to two parents, should be appointed by each member country to represent them with IPWSO.
The professional delegate should be a leading medical expert on PWS in their countries. They should have a good overview of the international frontiers in research on PWS, disseminate professional knowledge about PWS in their countries, be prepared to represent IPWSO when participating in international medical seminars, provide articles for IPWSO's Newsletter Wavelength, and attend IPWSO's General Assembly which is held every three years during the International PWS Conference.
The parent delegate should have regular contacts with members of their national PWS Association and with their medical expert. They should be familiar with, and also initiate, PWS developments and projects in their countries, and be prepared to work actively to build up an international network of PWS contacts for the sharing of experiences. For this purpose they should be able to converse and correspond in English, write articles for Wavelength, and preferably have access to email. They should also represent their countries at IPWSO's General Assembly
