Carers

After two international conferences for professional providers and caregivers, it was decided that IPWSO would form a Professional Providers' and Caregivers' Board which would be responsible for establishing a task force to collate all information from the conferences and edit this into a manual for Guidelines of Best Practice Care for those with Prader-Willi Syndrome.  The PPCB has also been given the task to continue updating best practices, look for ways of sharing information globally, and, by putting people with PWS first, ensure they enjoy the best possible lifestyle within the parameters of the syndrome.

Chair of the PPC Board, Norbert Hodebeck-Stuntebeck (PhD), is a psychologist at the Diakonische Stifung Wittekindshof, Germany, and has been joint host of the PPCB international conferences in 2008 and 2009.
