Proxy Voting

As fully subscribed members of IPWSO, each country is entitled to vote on any remit presented at the General Assembly or at any other Extraordinary General Meeting.  According to IPWSO's statutes (article 7), the vote is carried by that country's Parent Delegate or Professional Delegate in accordance with that country's PWS Association's decision.

If the Parent or Professional Delegate can not attend the General Assembly, then his or her country's PWS Association will appoint a Proxy voter and will advise the President of IPWSO accordingly.  Proxy forms can be downloaded here, and will be sent to each country before the GA and must be returned to IPWSO, or given to the President or Secretary of IPWSO at the General Assembly.  These will be checked and accounted for by the Auditors or legal representatives of IPWSO
